After several years I'm still listening to

by Lauridsen. It's the most wonderful piece of music written in my lifetime.

(The link takes you to part 1; related links at the right will take you to the rest of the piece. Schlock visuals.)

Orphaned Land is aqn excellent band. A very original combo of death and folk music from the the Middle-East.

It's Sunday so we're up to something lighter and fun. Didn't see a good video for Count Basie that I liked so here it is the Jerry Lewis film that made it famous to later generations. Good times:

Edit: OK, I tap out. How do I embed these things?

wow las fleurs del mal, my brother used to torture me with that back in the 80s. thanks for the dubious memories. (not that there's NOTHING new in the world, but creation vs invention, eh?!)

this is eastern music that at one point sounds like Bach. The wrapper's better too.

and back to the West, and in time to the only person who competes with Bach for the title of 'Best'.

Thanks to Spinosi and his Ensemble Matheus for reviving so many of Vivaldi's works.

btw, along with

these two piesces consitute the score of a film by a pretentious European director. Can you identify the film?

Credit where credit is due: who thinks the film in question is not worthy of Vivaldi?
