Obama bows to Akihito

Foreign Policy: B/C take years to fight wars that could have been won at a far lower cost, Obama can't even make a decision about whether we should be in Afghanistan while US soldiers die and he waltzes around the world on a series of apology tours giving hope to our enemies.

Precisely.

And not just that.

B/C erects a missile shield in Europe to prevent any possibility of being surprised by an attack from a nuclear Iran (or the nuclear Russia); BO apologizes and takes it down.

B/C sprinkles some water on evil terrorists at Guantanamo to make them talk, BO says terrorists "have a right to remain silent" and gets them lawyers instead.

You have to totally evade reality to conclude that these two administrations are even in the same class.

I'm guessing all of you have never lived in a modern Asian country such as South Korea or Japan.

Bowing is not considered a means of showing your subservience anymore. Even the deep bow, in Korea, where you get down to your knees, is not seen as subservience by anyone anymore. The bow on one's knees is at best a "I thank you so very much" type of meaning today. You may have got another impression when you watched 300 or some movies about medieval kings, but let me tell all of you, your experience is sorely limited.

This is just more liberal froggy behavior from the worst President of the US ever. His "bowing" is just an indication of his capitulation to socialism. No true capitalist President would have bowed to that bloody Jap. Its an Obamanation folks!

Is this parody?

Actually sir, yes, I was born in Singapore and I can tell you that you do not bow and shake hands at the same time. I could bow. I could shake hands. But not both, that would make me look like a dumbass.

Yeah, but that's about the extent of there being any issue. All he had to do was ask "How should I bow to greet the emperor?" The picture of Cheney is pretty dumb too, a bow doesn't even have to be noticeable, but he didn't do it at all. Well, that's only a still picture, so maybe he did bow.

If I may inject some *SANITY* into this debate....

Even Japanese politicians don't bow to the emperor of Japan. They look him straight in the eye. He's not a god, and there are even many old people who don't see him as god.

Obama is a moron who knows nothing about contemporary Japanese politics and he's just an apologist for supposed American stupidity.

I mean, do you even know how stupid people are in other countries? (Just as stupid as they are here). I have friends in France who honestly think that George Bush was our king and that he ruled the media with an iron fist. I couldn't convince them they were completely mistaken. Yes we have a bad image overseas, but have you ever considered the premises those people hold? They think America is bad because of some distorted nonsense they heard on their own stupid news channel and they don't consider the facts.

Obama just hates what America stands for and he uses every single excuse he can get to "apologize" for us.

Oh, and for proof to back up my claims: I've studied Japanese history, culture, and language for 8 years, have lived in Japan, and keep abreast of Japanese politics. Obama is a total f*cking idiot, plain and simple, and he has no idea how big a mistake he made by bowing to the Japanese emperor.

Thanks for actually turning this into a stupid conversation. I'm out.
