I found this fine artist and I'm loving his work. Since I stumbled by chance while looking for stock photos of the Vladivostok Harbor, I guess it's only fair to provide the site's link. A shame he's no longer with us and unsurprisingly I couldn't find too much about his work except for the Dancing Pears. His paintings, well just the thumbnails, make me happy and rested:

This one is called "The Good Life", and it was the first I saw.

This is me a decade ago doing just that. The water is also exactly the color as in "my" sea:

It's interesting how the same mind could do both the above beauties and also some ugly experiments like this. The ugliness can only be intentional as the date is from in between his "good" paintings.

On the contrary I see an evolution in the artist towards bright smooth realism.

It's history now, but do you think this is Art History worth recording?

Would love some feedback but also just happy to share my "finding".
