The French mapping company had complained that Google Maps offered their service free of charge in order to undercut competitors and gain control of the market. Reason_Being Posted February 3, 2012 Report Share Posted February 3, 2012 I believe it's also illegal in France to utter the words "facebook" and "twitter" on tv/radio because they consider that to be a form of advertising and therefore "unfair" to the smaller social networking sites.
