POST ELECTION TANTRUMS

Recently we received an email at this website penned by a friend who enclosed an article said to be circulated by leftist sites. This attachment contained a virulently scatological diatribe inveighing 'conservatism' so vicious in its expression as to be violent. It is no secret that such abusive outbursts signalise homicidal proclivities. Aren't these the same hand-wringing milquetoasts who accused the 'right' of being unevolved?

They are getting strange. The hooliganism pre-election had an at least diaphanous 'justification' for vandalism, tyre slashing, shootings, and other forms of anti-intellectualist assault and mayhem which seemed appropriate to the altruistic little darlings.

What, however, is accutely disturbing are liberal-left antics post election that involve considerably less violence. Nevertheless, as with the demonstration above, they've become downright animalistic. What 'power' can induce such refutation of a self-evident concrete (i.e. the election tally)?

The vise crushing leftist awareness is the government driven educational establishment quasi-deified through elitist media indulgence. Sadly, the better educated their dupes, the more effectively misled.

Post election tantrums are, we think, exceedingly more dangerous than Democrats are willing to concede. In order for a rational person to grasp 'progressive' intent he cannot be over mindful of the ominously despotic provenance of modern 'progressivism' that produces such hooligans, armchair and otherwise.

Incredibly enough there is still a churlish multitude sufficiently mystified to embrace Marxist dogmatising and its less-glorified variants as a moral imperative . After all these years and the bloody horrors unleashed in the name of collectivist doctrine this mob's academic mentors persist in their devotion to determinism.

The irony here? Liberals refuse to psycho-emotionally adjust to their minority status. This obscurantism arises not from fear of having their rights infringed, but rather their fear of being prevented from devouring the individual liberty of others in their dubious jihad for 'social, economic, and ecological progress'.

It is indeed mortifying to conclude there is an affinity linking Imperial Islam to the anti-reality trend woven throughout the Democratic party.

But the liberal-left remain unperturbed; Bill Clinton and John Kerry have made treason fashionable.

Perhaps they are inordinantly (to our, more rational, thinking) shocked because their subjectivst Hegelian/Kantian worldview teaches them that majorities dictate, not only rights, but reality itself. Thus, to the leftist, the idea of being out of the majority might be scary indeed.

Or maybe they just sense that the jig is up.

Think they're that smart?

Okay, one thing that's been bothering me for a long time. Does Objectivism and Objectivist promote Conservativism?

Though many enthusiasts of Objectivism may trace their epistemological 'roots' to 'conservatism' there are crucial distinctions. First, conservatism is an altruistic construct claiming its moral authority is supernaturally derived. Second, this suggests a deterministic universe which is ultimately governed by a 'consciousness'. Objectivism, conversely, demonstrates that a is a; what man perceives with his senses exists in nature apart from any perceiver or imagined 'creator'.

No. There seems to be some correllations between the two, but in principle, there's little difference between liberals and conservatives. Both believe in alturism as the standard of morality but conservatives are more "conservative" as to applying the moral code. They wish to "conserve" some of the "traditions" the founding fathers instituted when they established this country ("traditions" are one of their most commonly used defenses of Capitalism; it's no wonder they can't defend it). Ayn Rand was asked why she was so critical of conservatives in her interview with Playboy Magazine and she stated that "The conservatives are advocates of a mixed economy and of a welfare state. Their difference from the liberals is only one of degree, not of principle."
