I don't know of any other forums and WebTV doesn't allow for most chat rooms. I'd like to suggest a blog or three for your list, however. If you really don't want this info. here (since it isn't what you asked for!), I'll take no offense if you delete this post.

I see you already have Instapundit and Little Green Footballs listed, both of which I peruse daily. I would suggest you consider adding the Belmont Club, which regularly offers good analyses on the war, as well as other subjects.

I also check in at The Command Post for news on the war. It is broken down by areas of interest, providing links for news of Afghanistan, Iraq, Indonesia, etc. I've found it to be an invaluable source of information.

I like to read the Volokh Conspiracy for news concerning the law. It doesn't advocate for objective law, but the site gives you a good idea of the legal issues in the spotlight right now, and how they are being discussed among the pros.

For translations of articles available only in Arabic, I use MEMRI. It is invaluable if you want to know what the enemy is saying.

Are there any other online forums you like – on Objectivism or any other topic? I’m curious about my competition – and I’d like to add them to the web link directory.

Here are some I like:

Capitalism Magazine: http://www.capitalismforum.com/phpBB2/

The Intellectual Activist: http://tiadaily.infopop.cc/eve

On a related note, are there any aspects of other forums you like that this one lacks?

I like Google Groups because of the search features they offer. And because they archive Usenet posts from at least a decade back. I learned a lot of Objectivism by reading Tony Donadio, and Betsy Speicher in the early 90's.

BTW, 'search' is also a function I value highly on this forum. I also hope you keep the older posts available as this forum grows.

Objectivist Singles!

Not as big as the Atlasphere, and not as active since the Atlasphere appeard on the scene, but it's free and there's close to 1000 members. I've moderated it off and on for 4+ years.

Objectivist Voices Toastmasters Club #711792

Objectivist Voices is a virtual club that is being formed to create a forum for Objectivists who are Toastmasters. The goal is to practice presenting philosophical ideas with a supportive audience, who can give constructive feedback on both style and content. The club is open to those interested in spreading Objectivism. At present, the club is restricted to those who are or have been members of another Toastmasters club.

Objectivist Voices is a club for individuals seriously interested in Objectivism, the philosophy of Ayn Rand. The foundation of the club is the proven Toastmasters system for developing communication and leadership skills in a supportive learning environment. In addition, our meetings include a segment on the principles and practices of constructive discussion from an Objectivist perspective. The goal of our members is to speak Objectivism to the world.

Objectivist Voices will meet twice a month on the first and third Sundays at 2:00 PM Eastern for 1 1/2 hours.

The club will launch November 4, 2018.

Dues will be $50 for 6 months. $45 goes to Toastmasters International (TMI).

To launch our club, we are looking for 20 experienced Toastmasters who are Objectivists interested in joining this online Toastmasters club.

We meet using Zoom. Call-in information will be sent to members and guests.

2:00 - 3:30 p.m. Eastern US Time

To attend as a guest: You must RSVP by the previous Saturday at 5:00 p.m.

Charter dues are $45 for all charter members, payable to Toastmasters International. In addition, club dues are $5.00 per six months.

Memberships renew April 1 and October 1. After the charter period, when you join, you pay a pro-rated amount so that your membership ends on one of those dates.

Membership is Objectivists interested in discussing philosophical issues with others
Membership is presently restricted to those with Toastmasters experience and interest in spreading Objectivism
Since the goal of the club is to create a supportive atmosphere for developing philosophical communication skills, we will be adhering to the Toastmasters International policy of voting in (and if necessary, out) new members. Therefore, after the charter period, potential new members will need to visit the club meetings before joining.
