intellectualammo
I was wondering if any of you have favorite Greek myths, and if you could list them, and perhaps say a little as to why they are your favorite.
Harrison Danneskjold
Hands down prometheus and pandora. To defy the gods by teaching forbidden knowledge is, to me, the most profoundly beautiful action i can imagine. To punish the world through the "gift" of war, plague, famine, misery and hope- Yes, to punish with hope- is the raw image of pure evil. There's such truth in that story. --- Screw Jesus Christ; the icon of perfection is prometheus unbound! intellectualammo
Thanks, I'll take a closer look at the myth. I'm just trying to see if there are any more Greek myths that I can see plays in, as all mine so far are Greek myth based. I have two more plays plotted and planned, but after that... ? Rand used Greek mythology in interesting ways in her writing, as well. I have a thread I started about that specifically elsewhere, just saying.
