Tim Burton's Film "Big Fish"

I love this movie because I find the story touching, beautifully told and I think the sets are brilliant.  The score also adds a nice touch!  While I think the film went with the right ending, it's not one I support.  It's all about evasion from reality and building up tall tales about your life to make it feel greater than it is rather than making your life great within reality.

Anyone seen it and agree?  I've also read the book, but I don't recall it as well.

What have Spectre from Big Fish, Brigadoon from Brigadoon, The Invisible City of Kietzh composed by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Wakanda by DC Comics, Narnia from The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis, the Shire from J. R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, the Celestial City of The Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyun, Zion of The Matrix or even of Biblical reference, Atlantis, Galt's Gultch, Doggerland, etc., got in common?

Should they be taken literally, if you'll pardon the pun? Or is there a psychological truth buried within what is not credible existentially?

Almost left out the Kingdom of Stormhold in the world of Faerie separated from England by a stone wall in the novel/movie Stardust by Neil Gaiman

I think the moral of the story is flawed, but I find the thinking of the character intriguing being that I'm interested in therapy and enjoy studying maladaptive thinking and behaviors.
