Inspector
This is a good one. I have it on my desktop. I like the gotham one above, too. Edited April 4, 2005 by Inspector
Who_Is_GV?
I've had this on my desktop for weeks, and can't get enough of looking at it. Everyone that walks in my office comments on it and stares for a while. The towers appear to rise endlessly into the sky. FYI- It's the Petronas Towers in Malaysia. http://www.thewallpapers.org/view.php?wallz=num6545
Free Thinker
Hi- Where specifically did you find that Thomas Jefferson quote? Please let me know! Edited November 28, 2005 by Free Thinker
gnargtharst
Warning regarding the above link to the Petronas Towers wallpaper: this is one of the worst spyware sites I have ever seen.
McGroarty
Somewhere out there, I'm told there's a photo of Miss Rand looking on approvingly as Greenspan and Nixon are shaking hands. Myself, I'd love to find that for my wallpaper!
Cole
Right now I'm using this, centered. Recently switched from a beautiful skyline of San Francisco.
ArmyPatriot
Ah, I see... so he gave up a beautiful San Francisco skyline, maybe a little Golden gate bridge, for the nude male figure. I see... Just kidding Cole, he's got a good pose going on.

jrs
I'm currently using this, which is the back of the Rush album "Hemispheres" What is this Shane, Objectivist Surrealism? Edited September 17, 2005 by jrs
TheNewIntellectual
This is perhaps my favorite picture. There's no Objectivist theme per se, but it is interesting to see the incredible amount of detail, both above and underwater. http://visibleearth.nasa.gov/view_rec.php?vev1id=5826 I would recommend the 2400x1200. You can also find it elsewhere on the internet, in various resolutions. I had it stretched at 1600x1200 (looked great) before I had this one centered: http://awgibbs.com/money.html This might not be a bad one, either. http://openscroll.org/snaps/ny/ny-1-7-0.html BTW, since you were the last poster, thanks for the quote James. VacantLaugh
I'm currently using this, which is the back of the Rush album "Hemispheres" I was using the same background! Now my computer had to be reformatted and I have been too lazy to get it back. Did you get it from Power Windows?
softwareNerd
Speaking of Atlas pictures, I like the one that member "rob.sfo" uses as an avatar. And, the city-lights picture reminded me of this earlier thread. Edited September 19, 2005 by softwareNerd
rob.sfo
Speaking of Atlas pictures, I like the one that member "rob.sfo" uses as an avatar. Thanks. I made it myself (love Photoshop). I'm working on pulling some more color (or definition, or something) out of Atlas as the grey is a bit subdued, but otherwise I like the combination of symbols.
