I have read The Fountainhead and Anthem as well as a few short readings by Ayn Rand.

Objectivism states that ethically man is an end in himself and that he should pursue his own self-interests.

If he wishes to reach a level of authority and in this level of authority (in a political, business, etc. atmosphere) he takes actions in pursuit of his own interest that, consequently, take away rights of others and perhaps infringes on their freedom to pursue their self-interests, is he justified in his pursuit by the ethics of objectivism?
