I'm hoping the title turned some heads. ;)

Hello, I started this thread in order for posters to evaluate the situation between the Founding Fathers and slavery.

According to Malcolm X

“The seal, and the constitution, reflect the thinking

of the founding fathers, that this was, to be a nation

by white people, and for white people. Native Americans,

blacks, and all other non-white people, were to be the

burden bearers, for the real citizens of this nation.”

Now according to the quote, the United States was essestionally made for white people. What’s your take on this? Anything to agree with this quote or rebut?

The take is - unless you consider black men to be metaphysically different from white men - that rights apply for all men, and that a proper govt does not consider the color of skin. Of course such individuals do not agree with this. They simply dont like white skinned people having control over others. THEY want that control.

So these people are as racist as they claim the founding fathers were - but they now have the knowledge wich the founders did not. So their claims are MUCH worse, because these claimants should know BETTER.

Malcolm X is a prime example of a racist.

The Founding Fathers never were specific regarding race when they drafted the Declaration of Independence OR the Bill of Rights.

The establisment of slavery in this country was an aberration of the right to own property; some of those who took advantage of such right tried to include slaves as property.

Abraham Lincoln's administration would clarify this, once and for all- to the chagrin of the plantation owners. :D
