I do not think that GWAR ever intended to be taken seriously considering how they spend most of their profit on awesome stuff like new monsters and more stage blood for their next show. Moreover with songs like Nitro Burning Funny Bong and Slaughterama, I think it is pretty safe to say that GWAR is more silly than serious. Lordi too also has their silly monster side. Consider the songs The Devil Is a Loser and Pet The Destroyer. I especially love the video to Hardrock Hallelujah. Of course, with reference to GWAR you probably meant taken seriously with respect to musical talent. GWAR is underappreciated in that respect. Of course, it is more fun to interpret your statement in a different context, since what better reason is there to spend time in messageboards other than to get into SENSELESS ARGUMENTS!
