DarkWaters
Incidently, there is an editorial in the Washington Post today on this subject.
DarkWaters
George Will makes an interesting observation in his op-ed column on Monday: "Mao, to whom there is a sort of secular shrine in Beijing, killed millions more Chinese than even Japan's brutal occupiers did." DarkWaters
One of the largest neo-nazi rally in Germany's post-war history took place yesterday. The neo-nazi sympathizers were demonstrating outside of a Berlin prison to demand the release of a singer convicted of spreading racial hatred. This is unsettling news indeed. The Wrath
Not that I support neo-Nazis or anything, but that guy was imprisoned for speaking his mind.
woschei
I recently finished Rise and Fall of the Third Reich. At the end of my edition, there was an afterword, written by Shirer in 1990 (30 years after the original) in which he gives the opinion that, since WW2, the Germans have not changed much, and that the impending reunification of Germany could end up having more dire consequences for the world. Oh, the Germans have changed. They are no more Nazis, they are all hippies now!
