disallowing anonymous posts

Shouldn't we disallow anonymous/guest posting, to avoid getting flamed or annoyed by all kind of idiots? I'd suggest this policy for ALL sites on the internet (vs. intranet sites, that is). Registration is fast and painless. If someone wants to ask us about the difference between nihilism and Objectivism, let him work for it a bit :-)

...just a suggestion.

Fortunately we haven't gotten many (if any) of those kinds of posts from people. We have gotten a few tolerationists and anarchists (see Introducing Don Galt), but besides that, there hasn't been much. I don't think we would need to disallow anonymous posting just yet.

I agree. When/if it becomes a problem, I'll certainly consider it. Right now I'm more interested in getting more people to visit the forum than monitoring who visits it.
