We are pleased to announce the Quent Cordair Fine Art, 2008 Arts Cruise, January 6-13, 2008, aboard Royal Caribbean's Voyager of the Seas.

Enjoy select performances, concerts, demonstrations, lectures and round-table discussion in the fields of Music, Visual Arts, Drama, Film, Art History & Art Appreciation — twenty-four full hours of Fine Arts, leisurely paced over the six days and seven nights of our Western Caribbean cruise.

The opening musical event will be a recital by lyric tenor Alan August and pianist Stephen Siek. The works will include Schumann's passionate sixteen-song cycle Dichterliebe, op. 48, as well as operatic masterpieces by Rossini, Puccini, and others. Other musical events will include Romantic solo and chamber works by cellist Thomas Shoebotham and pianist Stephen Siek.

Our 2008 Arts Program will culminate, on the final evening of our cruise, in a production of Maurice Maeterlinck's three-act play Monna Vanna, described by Ayn Rand as "...one of the greatest plays in all world literature." According to our research, this will be the first staged performance of this play in over eighty years. After making your reservation, be sure to check back here for more information to be announced soon detailing our presenters, performances, lectures and demonstrations.

The QCFA 2008 Arts Program aboard Royal Caribbean's Voyager of the Seas is designed to be enjoyed at an unhurried, leisurely pace, scheduled to allow adequate opportunity to fully enjoy the Voyager's abundance of amenities, to relax privately or socially, and to take in the variety of pleasures and experiences to be discovered in our three ports of call. Art lectures and demonstrations are scheduled for the three days at sea, with three full hours of free, unscheduled time each afternoon. Performances and concerts are scheduled aboard the ship each evening after dinner, including the evenings of our days in port, subsequent to embarkation. Our goal is to provide a refreshing, uplifting, restful, rejuvenative experience.

Space is limited. For reservations and information call Quent Cordair Fine Art at 1-866-267-3247.

We sail in 15 months!! A few people have contacted us saying how much they would enjoy joining us on the Arts Cruise, but that they already have plans. :D Many have mistakenly thought that the cruise leaves this January; not so, we leave January 6, 2008. So get those deposits in and reserve your space. It only takes $250 per person to secure your reservation and no additional money is due until October 1, 2007. Rates start as low as $540.21. That includes your accomodations and all meals for 7 days!

The Arts Cruise will be a great place to attend lectures during the day, enjoy good company over fine dinners, take in shows, enjoy exclusive musical performances and run about on several Caribbean shores in between. It is going to be a rewarding journey!

We have made some recent changes to the Arts Cruise web site making it easier to find out about rates and reservations. Space is limited so early reservations are strongly encouraged.

Be sure to check out the Cruise Blog where regular posts are being made covering a variety of topics, including travel tips, destination information and answers to frequently asked questions.

Feel free to invite family and friends to join you. The Arts Program is an optional feature. Those not interested in participating in the arts program are welcome to come along for the cruise only experience.

We look forward to welcoming some of you on board for our first Arts Cruise. :) Feel free to contact me at the gallery, [email protected], or message me through the forum if you have any questions or comments.
