Harrison, "woke" is becoming aware, not suppressing awareness of fact, which past textbooks have done.

The anti-woke is the suppression of historical truth, such as I detailed in the links. Present people who feel guilty about what happened are idiots. The author of Between the World and Me, a Black intellectual, wrote years ago that raising awareness of the truth in these social relations is not intended to induce guilt. He could care less about such a transaction as that. And as for concern for the individual and her rights: [soon] <= No, I should get to work.

First time I wanted to put up a laughing emoji like Jon. Inverted reality on your part.

Well, now that the Bad Man has won, it'll be interesting to see how at least two different predictions shake out before January.

1.  Most importantly, of course, is my own: that the Democrats will riot over it before January.  If they don't I may have to come back and eat some crow - but I'm still pretty confident of it.

2.  Donald Trump also promised that if he won then the Ukraine war would actually end BEFORE he even took power, because he would tell Putin (to paraphrase) 'we're gonna stomp on you if you don't end the war right now'.  So it'll also be very interesting to see if that war is still ongoing in January.

I would not be at all surprised if some people riot over it.  But will "the Democrats" riot over it?

Well, not all of them, certainly.  Although I'm sure they will all trip over themselves to excuse the actions of whoever actually does riot.

Dr. Leonard Peikoff has done a 30-minute interview about the 2024 election:

I found out about this from Dr. Michael J. Hurd: https://drhurd.com/2024/11/01/leonard-peikoff-ayn-rands-intellectual-heir-speaks-out-on-trump/

Post election: The name America will continue, but as a lie to the land of the free I had in my interval of life. The democratic constitutional republic is now rolling away. I'll continue resistance by contribution to the ACLU and peaceful protest in the streets against specific government acts (osteoporosis and all—our new fascist state want to kill me there, so be it; my family loved ones did not lose limb and life in war to bring on this autocratic state). Peikoff's candidate, the permanent Subjectivist in Chief of this culture, becomes next President set to keep his fascist promises, now having Court and Senate without right-principle to constrain his whims and protect his critics from government force such as Putin wields in Russia.*

I'll be damned.  Kudos to the Democrats.
