Attention College Students!

For those of you who do not know, the second annual Clemson Summer Conference on the Moral Foundations of Capitalism will be held on June 5th to June 9th. There will be three full days of lectures from Ayn Rand Institute Intellectuals:

  • Yaron Brook will teach a mini-course on Business.
  • Andrew Bernstein will teach a mini-course on Rational Egoism.
  • Eric Daniels will teach a mini-course on Capitalism in American History.
  • Onkar Ghate will teach a mini-course on Atlas Shrugged.

There will also be smaller discussion groups on Atlas Shrugged in addition to the lectures to facilitate better interaction between students and the professors. The conference will be coordinated by C. Bradley Thompson.

This is a conference designed for college students. Both undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply as well as advanced high school seniors. Please note that there are full scholarships available to undergraduates.

Do not miss out on this exciting opportunity! I will definitely be applying.

You can learn more about the conference here: http://business.clemson.edu/BBTCENTER/cci/conferences.html

For those of you who do not know already, the deadline for the application for the Clemson Summer Conference on Atlas Shrugged and the Moral Foundations of Capitalism has been extended to Wednesday, March 21st.

The Clemson Institute for the Study of Capitalism would like to announce that the application deadline for its summer conference has been extended until March 21. In addition, we would like extend an invitation for any interested graduate students to apply as well. Although we have a strong pool of undergraduate students who will be attending, we are now able to [...] include a select number of graduate students.

All students who are interested in the moral foundations of capitalism are encouraged to apply for this unique opportunity to spend three days at Clemson University studying with some of the world's leading scholars working on the moral foundations of capitalism. All expenses for the conference (including airfare, ground transportation, room and board, and tuition) are covered by a full scholarship awarded to each student accepted to the conference.

Full details including an application form are available at:

http://business.clemson.edu/BBTCENTER/cci/conferences.html

One final note: because it is near the middle of the semester and midterms and papers are likely taking much of your free time, you may elect to forego writing the essay [...] and instead send in a short writing sample that illustrates your writing and thinking (an example would be a short paper from a class you have taken or a piece of editorial writing you may have done in the past).
