It would be fitting to Rowling's style to have an enormous plot twist, whereby Snape is revealed to be the main antagonist of the series, who has just been using the presumed antagonist (Voldemort) as a pawn. I think it will be revealed that it was like this from the very beginning. He saw to it that Voldemort's killing curse would be reflected, thus killing him. He has always protected Harry, knowing that he would eventually need Him to finish of Voldemort for good. I had actually thought this for a while, but this little piece on Mugglenet sums up the case pretty well: http://www.mugglenet.com/editorials/editor...mwalker01.shtml I'd prefer for him to be a good guy, because he's my favorite character, but I don't think that's the way it'll play out.
