DarkWaters
Moscow could aim nuclear weapons at targets in Europe as part of "retaliatory steps" if Washington proceeds with building a missile defense system on the continent, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Monday. Read the article here. This sounds chilling. Edited June 5, 2007 by DarkWaters
DavidV
Putin is trying to reassert Russian authority in its former sphere of influence. As long as the NATO coalition holds, I think he'll be too isolated to be much of a threat to the EU. My biggest concern for the near future is a new cold war for control of countries with mixed alliances.
D'kian
I fear Putin is rather extending protection to Iran and North Korea. particularly iran, as large swaths of Europe are within missile range of it.
Blinky
And Czech Republic is important once again! Unfortunately I have to say you farewell, because Russia is going to wipe out my little country. Sincerely, as I see it, the whole issue is exaggerated. Finally, Russia will approve the radar. Putin just wants to show his power and wants to do some problems to USA.
