The CIA and FBI have authenticated a new al Qaeda videotape which warns of retribution for Americans electing Bush and Cheney.

“What took place on September 11 was but the opening salvo of the global war on America and that our Lord willing, the magnitude and ferocity of what is coming your way will make you forget all about September 11,” the man, whose face is covered by a headdress, warns in the video.

“After decades of American tyranny, now it’s your turn to die.”

The alarming tape which warns the next terror attack will dwarf 9/11.

The CIA and FBI late Wednesday authenticated the tape, federal sources tell DRUDGE.

ABCNEWS obtained the tape from a source in Pakistan.

“You are guilty, guilty, guilty.  You’re as guilty as Bush and Cheney.  You’re as guilty as Rumsfeld and Ashcroft and Powell…,” the man states.

He goes on to warn of an upcoming horror: “The streets will run with blood,” and “America will mourn in silence” because they will be unable to count the number of the dead.

“People of America, that was the verdict now for the sentencing: as participants and partners in the crimes of the regime, you too shall pay the price for the blood that has been spilled.”

“The streets will run with blood,” and “America will mourn in silence” because they will be unable to count the number of the dead, a man claims on the video.

Further claims on the video: America has brought this on itself for electing George Bush who has made war on Islam by destroying the Taliban and making war on Al Qaeda

ABCNEWS obtained the tape from a source in Waziristan, Pakistan over the weekend. The network has withheld airing it, initially citing concerns over its authenticity.

One senior federal official alleged ABCNEWS is now holding back from broadcasting any portion of the video out of fear it will be seen as a political move by the network during election week.

One ABC source, who demanded anonymity, said Thursday morning, the network was struggling to find a correct journalistic “balance.”

“This is not something you just throw out there while people are voting,” the ABC source explained.

Four things:

-The terrorists (and the rest of the anti-American crowd) see Bush as Public Enemy #1

  • Despite ever-direr threats, there has not been a single terrorist attack in the U.S. since 9/11

  • In its attempt to appear “fair and balanced,” ABCNEWS is not going to release what could be a big endorsement for Bush till after Nov 3.

  • The author is Adam Pearlman, a punk loser from Orange County, who grew up in a Christian family before turning to Islam.

I didn’t see this thread yesterday so I posted my reply about the same topic in another thread.

i’ve been pretty undecided for this election and this forum has provided excellent points for both sides. I have been leaning towards Bush slightly because of his strong convictions on defense (willing to go at it alone). However would prefer if he wasn’t so religious. The new Al-Queda tape does bring interesting questions to floor. Why did they single out Bush? does that mean they are afraid of him? would the terrorists actually consider it a victory if kerry won? i certainly dont want terrorists feeling victorious like they did after Spain’s election. but of course i’m not basing my decision on that. still, it is something to think about.

The entire purpose of al Qaeda (“the base”) is not to war on the US directly, but to embolden other Islamic fundamentalists to act against us. There are millions of fundamentalists who hate the US for various reasons. Some who view us as a contrary religious power, some view us as a den of corruption, some view us as intruders on holy Saudi soil, some view us as siding with enemies, some view us as targets only of slavery or slaughter purely for not being Arabs and Islamics.

What all of these groups have in common is that the large groups among them are held in check by a fear of US retaliation, should they act against us. This perception alone severely limits their power. But any time we back off a little based on a threat, any time we don’t respond to the best of our ability when threatened, some of these groups are emboldened and made that much more ready to act against us. Enough perceived victories and al Qaeda has accomplished its mission.

To the extent that you accept the above, preventing al Qaeda from feeling victorious is actually a very good guide for your vote!
