How do your parents “feel” or alternatively what do they think of your being an Objectivist?

Other than my atheism they don’t seem to really care.

I only ask because parents have a profound affect on their children’s beliefs and ability to think independently.

Indeed, welcome to the forum. In your ambitions to become a businessman, may I recommend reading For the New Intellectual. Or you could have it an CD as I do. In it, Ayn Rand explains the vital necessity for an integrated philosophy in the lives business professionals, professional intellectuals, and for that matter, anyone choosing a productive and purposeful life.
I’ve read it. I’ve actually read most of her books, including ITOE, but I still haven’t read We the Living.
That’s very encouraging. Starting life with a firm understanding of Objectivist principles will be a critical advantage. Good Premises!

My suggestion: get a job! You can learn business in books and at school, but that’s like learning to swim in the shallow end – it gives you some ideas, even ones you may not learn at every job. But, doing things at a job will make you learn how to use those ideas when your feet can’t touch the bottom of the business ocean, sometimes while it’s storming and you can’t breath!
That’s true. I’ll try to get a job.
