For my Inquiry into the Social World class, I am doing a twelve age research paper on conflicts between land and sea super powers (regional or international). I am looking for standing army and naval statistics for a large range of nations ranging from 300 B.C. to 1980 A.D. Does anyone know a source that I could get this information from (preferably free)?
