One Minute Case Traffic

Here is the traffic for the One Minute Case blog for the last few weeks:

Not bad for a blog that was active for a month and hasn’t active in over a year, eh?

From the search keywords and comments that visitors are leaving, it looks like many of the visitors are kids doing research on papers. I would say that this is a good opportunity for ground-floor intellectual activism and a lesson for other sites - research resources can be more influential than news commentary & opinion.

I’ve updated the list of proposed topics: http://oneminute.rationalmind.net/topics/

Here is a traffic update:

Those hits are remarkable. On my website of 200 pages, I get about 1,000 hits per month as an average. Do you advertise your One Minute Case? Just curious how the hits got so large all of a sudden. Of course, one difference is that on your home page you have multiple essays, whereas mine are spread out over 200 pages. But still, those are good results, so congratulations.

Actually, the recent boost in traffic is coming from StumbleUpon. It’s amazing how much traffic it generates:

I do advertise on Google - a few dollars every day, for about 100,000 views and 60 clicks.

Well, it’s working  I’d advertise more if I could find a way to break even. I made about $400 from my website in the first few months, and then nothing fora few years. Guess people aren’t that interested in philosophy per se, though your atheist post generated a lot of hits.

By the way, not to highjack this thread, but I did not get an email notification of your reply to me, so that may not be working properly.
