Placement of History subforum?

The list of forums is partly (and rightly) hierarchical: metaphysics and epistemology, ethics, politics, and aesthetics.

Why is the History subforum listed under Political Philosophy? History (as a discipline of study) is a specialized science just as physics, economics, and psychology are. I recommend rewriting the description of the science section to essentialize it:

Specialized Sciences

Studies (and associated technologies) based on general philosophy but having specialized methods and objects of inquiry – for example, physics, biology, psychology, history, economics, and computer science.

With this approach, History, as a science, does not need its own subforum (which has attracted little traffic, anyway) any more than physics and psychology do – thus simplifying the list.

Likewise, the Psychology and Self-Improvement forum could be simply Self-Improvement. Psychology as a science belongs rightly under Specialized Sciences.

The forum is hierarchical, but it is not obvious what criteria should be used for categorization. I organized the topics according to the popularity of particular topics and the category where one might expect to find them and create new forums according to the popularity of particular topics.

You categorization might be proper for an encyclopedia or a library, but I think that the current hierarchy is more appropriate for a forum.
