I understand that CONgress passed some kind of law eliminating the use of incandescent bulbs by 2012/ Can the conjoining of religion and state Khomeini closer?
Jesus doesn’t like incandescent bulbs?

That’s an interesting question. I don’t know that Jesus was against technology. Some of his followers – especially Augustine – definitely were, which led to the Dark Ages. On the other hand, I don’t know that Jesus ever praised man’s reasoning mind.
Of course, the real culprit is the new Dark Ages mentality of the New Left, the environmentalists, who are most assuredly against man’s technology and man’s mind quite explicitly.

To hear the New Left tell it, this is a settled issue. Man is destroying the earth and we need to curtail our lifestyles so that “nature” can again thrive, free from the negative influences of humanity. By the way, there is no need for further scientific inquiry or study of these claims. In fact if you don’t believe, then you’re part of the flat-earth/holocaust denying minority who deserve to be marginalized. The Left has on the one hand elevated junk science to a new level while cutting off real scientific inquiry at the knees. It’s a nice philosophical trick.
I find it interesting that the world’s largest polluters, like China, are not expected to curtail their development. Kind of highlights the hypocrisy and anti-Western agenda behind this movement.

The Sermon on the Mount, Matthew 6:19-34 in particular, is clear enough. TheEgoist could probably rustle up some more citations, too.

They’re advocates of a secularised version of the Sermon on the Mount. They’d lead to a new Dark Ages in the same way and for the same reasons.
