I am mostly interested in math and physics, with occasional sojourns into philosophy. When the urge takes me, I have occasionally posted on other philosophy sites, Reddit, etc. The reception is often hostile, and sometimes outright banning, but here we have sensible posts and even a math-physics section. I have read Rand in my youth, but these days find her views more common sense than anything else. However, at the mere mention of her elsewhere, the diatribe you often get is IMHO ridiculous. Sure you can disagree, but why the hatred? I find it puzzling.
Anyway, congratulations on the new site; for me at least it is very welcome.
