I'm open to reading her work but please clear some possible misconceptions first. 1. Atlas Shrugged talks about very rich Americans that the governement wants to make a bit less rich with regulations and we're supposed to feel sorry for them. 2. Clear up these words from Ayn Rand: "The Arabs are one of the least developed cultures. They are typically nomads. Their culture is primitive, and they resent Israel because it's the sole beachhead of modern science and civilization on their continent. When you have civilized men fighting savages, you support the civilized men, no matter who they are." 3. Her philosophy is the result of trauma caused to her family by communists and doesn't have anything to do with our reality. 4. She thinks altruism is a form of slavery. Thanks in advance.
