Minimum Requirement for a Revolution

"There are four characteristics which brand a country unmistakably as a dictatorship: one-party rule—executions without trial or with a mock trial, for political offenses—the nationalization or expropriation of private property—and censorship. A country guilty of these outrages forfeits any moral prerogatives, any claim to national rights or sovereignty, and becomes an outlaw."

(VOS)

Also, one party rule is what Iran or China have, where a single organization decides who is allowed to run for office. Japan, or the US do not have single party rule, even if one party is in full control of the government, until the next elections. And the way I interpret the above quote is that all these four characteristics have to be met before one can brand a country unmistakably a dictatorship, not just one of them. Wrath, your discomfort is a result of misinterpreting the quote, Ayn Rand never said one party rule makes a country unmistakably a dictatorship.

In the USSA, I think Revolution is already justified, and the evidence is in. All we need now is a catalyst. Unfortunately the masses of current generations tend not to notice their oppression. That just means that the catalyst must be something really...really... big. It has to be 9/11 times a thousand! (hat tip team america)
