BRG253
Forcing insurance companies to cover pre-existing conditions is so irrational that it seems like it could only be done out of sheer malice. Peter Schiff recently stated that the bill will make it more attractive for healthy people to pay government fines than insurance premiums, so that most of the people buying new insurance policies will be the sick. Then, when insurance companies go broke, the politicians will blame the free market and insist that we need single-payer healthcare. Of course, that's sheer speculation on my part, but the whole thing seems like somethng right out of Atlas Shrugged.

I guess that, like in Atlas Shrugged, it is merely stupidity, blindness and reality negation. Since they "feel bad" when someone dies from a disease, they're forcing the "producers" to create infinite healtcare. I believe also that "democracy" plays a role, since they're counting with some votes from the new beneficiaries of "free" healthcare. They do not understand how health care is produced, so they think they're only exerting just "some pressure" on providers to cover a few millons more "free". They "hope" the producers will "figure how to" comply at gunpoint with provision of healtcare "righths".

It's especially a good overview of the problem for those who may not have a full understanding of the bill and its implications. Black Wolf
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B98muhufAGE More liberal whining God damnit "Whats so American about competition" Yeah, what's so American about competition against the government? It's only the exact thing that is contradictory to what this country was founded on. This video wasn't even funny. It was just "let's push a liberal agenda and add a little sarcasm in here and there". Edited November 25, 2009 by Black Wolf
L-C
Government doesn't deal in options. Our government school and healthcare systems are anything but options for non-millionaires.
