aleph_0
I just saw that about a month or two ago, SEP added this article!: Ayn Rand This has been in the works for some time, I think as long as a year ago there was a promise on the website of adding this article. Note that SEP is a highly regarded collection of topic-specialized articles, written by prominent modern philosophers. So what they say about her is probably going to rouse Objectivist ire. aleph_0
Note the acknowledgments: Thanks to Larry Abrams, David Kelley, Harry Kitchen, Eric Mack, Doug Rasmussen, William Thomas, and an anonymous SEP referee for helpful comments and to Chris Sciabarra for helpful references. The authors are Neera Badhwar and Roderick T. Long, neither of whom I am familiar with, and both of whom have tangential interest in Rand, though I don't think either are actually Objectivists. bluecherry
There's a thread on this already actually here: http://forum.ObjectivismOnline.com/index.php?showtopic=19673
James Bond
Roderick Long is an objectivist turned libertarian. He says he's still a Aristotelian/Wittgenstienian, and still has many agreements with Rand.
aleph_0
Oh well, mods can remove the topic, then. Still, I'm surprised at the largely non-negative reaction to the article.
0096 2251 2110 8105
Are you against the article because of something in particular that you read, or simply because it says "David Kelley" and "Chris Sciabarra" at the bottom?
aleph_0
I'm not against the article.
