For the past few days, the little orange boxes that appear next to my unread posts have gone missing. Can someone help me find them?

At the risk of sounding like a second-hander, I am glad I am not the only one.
Seriously, itās a bit of a pain especially on threads that get a lot of posts to try to figure out where I should start reading to keep current.
Mine are gone too.
Good, Iām not crazy. I am experiencing the same difficulty.
I was about to post a reward for the capture of my orange indicators. Alas, I couldnāt find a photo to post over the ādead or aliveā bit.
I thought it was just me! Because they disappeared right after I upgraded to Vista and I thought I messed up Firefox cookies or something.

Confiscated and redistributed to the people. 
It was wealth-redistribution. Some under-funded forums in the inner-city just couldnāt afford to put little orange boxes next to their new topics, so the only moral thing that could happen was the government stepping in and making sure every forum had its fair share.
The icons disappeared when I updated to a new forum version. I had no idea what they were until you guys mentioned them. Hopefully there will be a fix out soon.
It looks like this problem only exists with this forum. I have no idea why.
My Assistant -> New Posts -> [View New Posts Img] does seem to work.
Also, it is marking topics as read which I certainly have not read.

Seriously, though, Iām not a mod, so I have no such ability to look into the matter.
GC has searched some forums to see if this is some type of newly reported bug, with no success. Still looking.
Also, the little American flags have disappeared - the ones that appear on the left hand side of tabs, when one tab-browses through the forum (donāt tell me you guys use anything other than tabs to browse the forums!).

An update: the guys who develop the forum software (IPB) are aware of this bug. They say itāll be fixed in the next patch release. Meanwhile, they have also provided instructions on how to patch it manually. Unfortunately, itās more than a single line in a single file. I hope to try their work-around soon (hopefully over the weekend).
