From the article http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor.../health_diet_dc I don't think this is a problem the WHO should be worrying about. Whem 840 million people are persistantly malnurished and 40,000 children die every day from preventable disease or malnutrition.

Forum Policy On "edit" Feature For Posts?
AraqirG replied to stephen_speicher's topic in Website Policy and Announcements
I agree. The "Edited by" mark has no affect on honest posters and doesn't restrict their ability to change their post. I like that idea. It would also provide an incentive for posters to label why they changed their post. -
Forum Policy On "edit" Feature For Posts?

I think that the 60 minute rule is pretty fair. It gives the poster long enough to review their post and fix spelling and grammer, but not long enough to change the content substantially (sp). I also suggest that anyone who posts adds a comment about what was changed. For example, If the original post is... Then I suggest people edit the post so it says... But this is just a personal preference... -
Yeah, I am really looking forward to when it is made open to everyone else. I am not a big fan of hotmail (which I currently have). Gmail seems like a creative new alternative.

Which books by Ayn Rand cover the following?
AraqirG replied to AraqirG's topic in Questions about Objectivism
thanks, greatly appriciate it -
Which of Miss Rand's books covers the epistemological and metaphysical aspect of objectivism? If a government is not allowed to tax individuals (b/c that would involve the government initiating force against citizens) how does the government pay for the army, court system and police? How is infrastructure controlled in Objectivism? Are all roads owned privately? What happens if a government initiates force against citizens (Stalin's purges, i.e. statism)? Are the citizens allowed to overthrough the government in self defense? What if those citizens haven't been harmed, for example what if the government kills all of my neighbors, except me. Can I initiate force against the government in self defense even though the government never hurt me?

What about my contribution.... sure I am a new member, but I have managed to convice 4 friends to drop religion, and have converted 7 others to be active objectivists, and I live in the Bible Belt... I feel that is in your interest to give one to me because I will continue to actively support Objectivism even the lincoln douglas debate community (which is very anti-Ojectivism)....
