  1. As someone who grew up in the Granite State (or the Shire, as many of us fondly call it, that should tell you something) I can confidently say it may be what you are looking for. The economy is still decent (lots of small business, too). The crime is very low (some issues around Manchester, or Manchvegas as we call it, but nothing compared to say... Baltimore), the only man-made disaster you might have to worry about is the nuclear power plant in Seabrook, but nuclear power is very safe nowadays. Then there are the natural disasters, I have one question for you regarding that: do you like snow
  2. Steve nailed it, you gave up your 5th Amendment right when you started answering questions and incriminating yourself. The best you can hope for is the judge sympathizes with your broken gauge situation and your incentive at fixing it and lowers the fine. Further, you mentioned the office being 'intimidating.' This is part of their job. He only had his hand on his taser? Traffic stops I've been involved in I've noticed the officer keeping a hand near his sidearm. They are trained to do this. So many officers get shot by assholes during traffic stops, I don't blame them one bit.
  3. Ah, I missed that bit in my research. Thanks for pointing it out. I don't think it should be funded by the Fed, so if they do pull funding I hope those stations that struggle find a way to stay afloat. I much enjoy their classical music selections. Perhaps they'd turn to more direct advertising as a source of revenue.
  4. Hello. I'd just like to debunk the NPR "government funding" belief that seems to be going around lately. NPR Website FAQ Interview with NPR CEO So, go ahead and pull their Federal funding and watch as... nothing happens.
