  1. Really? Much more reasonable than in Norway. It would have been very fun, but as I have school and exams in May, I don't really see i happen for the time beeing. But who knows? I'm planning to interrail with some friends after I've finished High School (2 years to go still), a combination might work then. We'll have to take it into consideration later on.
  2. OK. I'll have to check if Sindre Berg Stene is still active, as there aren't to many objectivists in this area. Thanks for the tip! And yes, the prises on the alcohol are insane. 90% of the cost of a beer for instance, are taxes... Stores were actually selling beer with loss this summer, in order to draw customers. Guess what happened? The goverment decided that doing so was 'illegal', and they made it against the law for stores to set the prises that low. And yes, the Vinmonopol is ridicoulous. (For those of you who don't know, in Norway, the State is the only one who has the right to sell spirits, wine, and other drinks with more than 6% alcohol) So as a poor student I don't have much money to spend on malt whisky... Annoying, because I think it's much better than the junk I usually drink in the weekends.
  3. Heisann, snakker du norsk? I live near Trondheim, Trøndelag. (Stjørdal to be more excact)
  4. Thanks, BlackSabbath. Just one problem though, In Norway one has to be 20 years old to drink spirits, and I'm only turning 18 next spring...
  5. Hehe, that would be great, thanks for the invitation! I could definately enjoy a whisky-festival...
  6. Hi everyone! I'm a 17 year old student from Norway who has just recently discovered objectivism (less than a year), thanks to a friend of mine. I guess I've always had a peculiar feeling that something is wrong about the way the world is governed, but I never knew excactly what. After discovering objectivism, I got my answer. I'm a member of the only pro-capitalistic party in Norway, which is tiny compared to the large social-democratic parties that govern the country. Hoping to have some interesting discussions on this forum
