prosperity
Just about every "traditional" source of information about the Securities and Exchange Commission cites the necessity of the SEC due to "rampant dishonesty" by businessmen and financiers. I'm pretty good at finding fault with much of what they do in today's world, and how they have basically made the financial markets difficult to navigate. Pulling out the SEC "by the roots" is what I am looking for. Does anyone know of an existing book, essay, or article that explains the history of the S.E.C. and the NASD (now called the "FINRA"), the various regulations in the financial markets, etc.? I'm just wondering if I can save myself the time and effort needed to do original research. Edited May 10, 2008 by prosperity
