There is a recent patch to the software that insists on a few minutes (currently 15 minutes) between PMs. Recently, some spammer went to a whole lot of forums that run the same ("Invision Power Board") software that we run, and spammed people with PMs pointing to a porn site. He came here too. Subsequent to that, Invision released a patch that forces a gap between PMs. For other restrictions, the software allows group-by-group set up, so that (e.g. there are different wait times for "Regulars", compared to "Novices" and so on. Hopefully, they'll add something like that to the software on a less-emergency basis. In fact while replying, I realized that they have provided one option that can help most of our regular members not be restricted. I'll check into that. If this is not the problem -- i.e. if you cannot send PM even after waiting a while -- then it must be something else altogether. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
