I've been hearing rumors for years now. Will this movie ever be made and done RIGHT? ( If the Hollywood marxists want to screw it up, I'd just as soon they not bother. )

While on the topic of movies, does anyone do sci-fi with an actual story anymore? ( It's been dumbed-down for the products of the modern government schools? )

I read some of the best sci-fi ever written* IMNSHO, years ago, and would have loved to have seen it made into faithful movies, but modern sci-fi movies are such swill.

( * For examples: Robert A Heinlein's "Time Enough For Love", "Stranger in a Strange Land" and "I Will Fear No Evil" were my favorites. Arthur C Clarke's "Childhood's End". )

There is another thread on the board right now to talk about the movie.

They are currently filming the first movie(covering the first third of the book); and they are doing the whole book as a trilogy if it does well enough commercially.

  • 7 months later...

This is one of the worst movies I've seen in my life [and trust me, I've seen a few]

I took my ex to watch it and by the end of the movie he told me "so, it talk about trains, right"

I got so upset, it was lack of creativity and abilities. I think my grandma could have been a better Dagney
