MindBlaZe
Has anyone read or heard the statement on molecular transistors (ie consisting of only a few molecules) from a chemist at the National Institute of Nanotechnology in Alberta. He claims that he and a team of engineers have developed a process for producing transistors that require only 1 electron of current passing through them to activate the transistors (as opposed to 1 million). If this statement is valid it would be an amazing feat for microelectronics. We could have computer chips hundreds of times faster than today operating at room temperature. The potential is amazing. I just hope the technology reaches the commercial market. I would love to work with technology like this in the future.
Cbaoth
Yes I also saw this, single molecule transistors wasnt it? The mind boggles at what this would mean for electronics and technology!
