Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards has called for Americans to sacrifice themselves in the name of the poor. His plan calls for universal pre-kindergarten, universal bank accounts, universal homes, higher minimum wage, college for everyone, mandatory healthcare for everyone, protecting Iran’s nuclear program, fleeing Iraq. How would Americans sacrifice according to Edwards? Financially, in terms of higher taxes across the board.
Edwards is by far the phoniest of the presidential candidates. I think most people can see through it, and that’s why he doesn’t stand a snowball’s chance in hell at getting nominated.
I for one, am impressed with Edwards’ honesty. If every politician was so forthcoming about their views, than maybe people would begin to demand an alternative to this nonsense.
