The Future is Cao?

When the future is coming from my state, it sort of bothers me a little. I still think we are the most bizarre state in the union in the sense that a lot of people here are unashamedly racist, but we elect two first time minorities (first Indian-American governor, and first Vietnamese-American Congressman). I don’t think it would of happened had they not been Republicans. I think the love of Republicans trumps prejudice of non-whites.

But Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) insists there’s something more. In a memo to colleagues called “The Time is Cao,” Boehner says that Anh “Joseph” Cao’s win over Jefferson in a heavily Democratic district points the way out of the wilderness. The House GOP focus, he argues, ought to be ethics, ethics, ethics.

Jindal campaigned on ethics too. His campaign slogan was “We Can Change, We Must Change, We Will Change” and her put ethics before anything else. When you give people power over others lives, their isn’t any home for ethics.
