Celebrities: From Night Clubs to Saving the World

I recently saw a news article about Paris Hilton planning to spend 5 days in Rwanda. She says that she feels empty and wants to make a difference in the world.

The article had made it sound like it was a big contrast for her, but I realized that it isn't. A lot of these celebrities, who party and devote their lives to perception, have no problem switching over to some other selfless cause.

Anyone else notice this recent trend?

Aww, how sweet. I'd suggest 3 months rather than 5 days. Not in Kigali, better someplace outside Gitarama, and best to go by bus. I wonder what professional talents she will take with her?

Indeed. Especially for "troubled" celebrities, now that rehab isn't the golden ticket it used to be.
