KevinDW78
Democrat Barack Obama says he would delay rescinding President Bush’s tax cuts on wealthy Americans if he becomes the next president and the economy is in a recession, suggesting such an increase would further hurt the economy. Don't worry though, he followed up with: “Even if we’re still in a recession, I’m going to go through with my [middle class] tax cuts,” Obama said. “That’s my priority.” For a moment there, I was almost afraid that he had a clue. DavidOdden
For a moment there, I was almost afraid that he had a clue. Whew!Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings, but he does. It's just the wrong clue. What he understood is that the "rich" are few in number, so he doesn't need to worry about their vote. If he can appeal to the "middle class" and convince enough people that he's referring to them, then he can perform the magic of having his cake (no cuts in federal benificence) and eat it too (no revenue from anyone important to pay for it).
