KevinDW78
This is going around the news this weekend. Biden did an interview and the interviewer recited a Karl Marx quote "From each according to his ability...etc" and asked Biden how that's not what Obama intends to do. Pretty amusing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQXcImQfubM

Erik Christensen
Since every American is "damned if we do, damned if we don't" at the polls this year, my advice would be to vote for the candidate with the best idea's most friendly with liberty. Sure, your guy may lose, but so what?-we've already lost when McCain or Obama get elected. In a way, voting 3rd party is a way to both vote and abstain from voting at the same time. I'm voting for Barr. Will he win?-not likely, but so what. My vote, at least, moves the political focus more to where it needs to be, which I hope in turn will affect the ideaology of the two ruling parties. If everyone always votes the status quo out of fear or compromise then we get nothing but stuck in the damned mess we're all trying to get out of, progress is retarded because then the parties think that as voters we are sanctioning their platform. PS.....And let's not forget that there are also local and state elections, too, as well as bond issues, etc to vote on!
~Sophia~
Someone found a radio interview with Obama from few years ago in which he said that one of the tragedies of the civil rights movement was that it was "so court focused" and thus did not involve redistributive change. (few years ago I may not have known what he meant by "redistributive change" - today it is much clearer). gags
Someone found a radio interview with Obama from few years ago in which he said that one of the tragedies of the civil rights movement was that it was "so court focused" and thus did not involve redistribution of wealth. I heard the interview on the radio this morning and almost drove off the road. This guy is going to bring change, it's just not going to be the kind that freedom loving people will like.
