Robert Reich no economic stimulus for Whites

About two weeks ago, Robert Reich was on NPR complaining about welfare reform. (Even though it was passed in the days of his ex-boos, Clinton.) What was his complaint? He said that it cuts off too soon. One of the reforms was that a person could only be on welfare for 60 months in their lifetime. This, Reich says, is bad, and ought to be rolled back. I hope Reich did not make it to Obama's cabinet; at least, I haven't heard that he has.

Watched the video.

Rangle complains that states often want government money to be spent all over the place (read: "often in areas where middle class voters reside"). He says that this often holds up the spending of Federal money, so he wants to bypass the states. He says he doesn't want arguments about Harlem vs. New York to slow spending. Can we somehow target the money to the worse-off areas, by using numbers, he wonders.

At this point, Rangle shows his true colors, with a comment that right now it should be possible for politicians to get away with this, because the middle class are too busy dealing with problems with this financial crisis.
