  1. Why would the ‘ENTIRE legal system’ (not even sure what that is supposed to denote) need to be corrupt in order to have some level of corruption of the flesh and blood individuals that play a part in the ‘system’. Claiming to have received unfair treatment under any system isn’t a universal condemnation of said system. It is a claim of being wronged. The system that is the target of much of the ire is the election ‘system’ and not getting any relief in the courts. And in the case of at least one venue , not all the justices on the supreme agreed with the decision. Part of the dissent was a criticism of the court for not adjudicating election law matters in previous and recent proceeding , a claim of obfuscation in a corrupt manner.
  2. What makes you think the Left will go anywhere , let alone far? There is nothing in their rhetoric or proposed legislation that suggests this , surely, stop fear mongering. This is not a socialist takeover, the American system will prevail , if the majority of the population as represented by voters do not agree with the policies of their elected officials they will be voted out fairly , surely. It would be immoral for them to act otherwise, surely.
  3. Or it can be pointed to question whether or not the 'steal' was a concentrated effort in say six or so 'battle ground" "swing state" cities under partisan control. Like stopping the counting and then stuffing the boxes to beat the algorithms. Without thorough forensic examination those allegations will remain unanswered. Two ways Biden 'proves' he won, debunked claims, and unexamined claims. So far , and forever apparently, he needs only one, unexamined claims.
  4. I suggested, rather tongue in cheek-ly, shit trucks as an alternative to physical violence basically because any alternative to physical violence is necessary. The only legitimate form of protest at the Capitol that day would have been to gather outside the building . And any and all dissatisfaction should be aimed at the politicians not at the idea of the American republic. The opportunity for fraud , malfeasance and incompetent procedural handlings of all the vote counting in the 2020 general election was unprecedented. Trump made statements prior to Nov that covid had so drastically changed the playing field that extra scrutiny would be required. Instead of tightening scrutiny and implementing unprecedented controls on the chain of custody of ballots, election standards were loosened . The 'swing state' results showed obvious irregularities and various unexplained statistical anomalies, albeit some of the irregularities are present to some degree or other in past elections, but that in and of itself does not bar anyone from bringing the grievances. There was no extra-ordinary , unprecedented attempt to examine the ballots based mostly on the idea that unprecedented procedures are not called for, for examination of results, only that unprecedented procedures can be implemented for carrying out the voting process. I am squarely on the side of "count every legal vote" as opposed to "count every vote" and I feel ( yes my own subjective emotional response) that given the epidemic and the way it affected the process required a thorough examination of the ballots. My suspicions and misgivings about the results as reported were only heightened by the pushback and stonewalling of various court proceedings. Motive and opportunity are important factors in assessing allegations. Trump and his supporters repeatedly called for forensic examinations perhaps too broadly and or too specifically in different instances and most were blocked. If the fraud was nonexistent more examinations would have been damning to his case, thwarting the examinations did what exactly ? Are there any instances of extra-ordinary efforts to examine ballots? I admit there was a lot of anti-Trump perceived voters, but they failed to punish down ballot candidates to the same degree. How is it the historic levels of voting for Biden did not result in down ballot candidates overcoming the anti-Trump votes? Especially when you consider the gains Trump made in minority voter support.
  5. Why did the Congressmen and Senators that publicly stated they would challenge several slates of electors and force a reading into the Congressional record of evidence of irregularities suddenly , not ? The tacit explanation is , I suppose, the ‘insurrectionists’ committed such egregious acts , that they changed their minds ? They seemed willing to risk their future political careers on arguments they held at 10 am about events that transpired in Nov , but those factors became less relevant after the riot /insurrection? How so? The PA state legislatures sent a letter and a different slate of electors because they believed the slate proffered was illegitimate have they since retracted because of insurrection? I have no idea ,maybe they have but I haven’t heard that . The only evidence that may exist in manipulating vote tallies can only be found by examining the physical ballots, has that happened?. The states that violated their own voting laws and constitutional processes have not had any court proceedings to wit , have they? The rioters should have used shit trucks instead of physical force on people, maybe they would have still raised their objections , still not sure why they didn’t raise them, what did the loss of life on the 6th have to do with what happened in Nov?
  6. It's almost too bad the 'insurrectionists' on the 6th didn't take a more European approach and instead had used water cannon trucks to spew sewage . Much better visual and symbology.
  7. Any federal property and any interstate transportation, I believe. I don't think 'unconstitutional' is the barrier it once was.
  8. As with the case in the Wisc Supreme , Dr Linda Lee Tarver’s testimony at the Michigan hearings point to long standing problems with Michigan elections and Detroit in particular for decades. Systemic problems with partisan control of elections isn’t anything new , calling it out and focusing broad attention on it can at least be a positive , going forward as they say. My hope was Trump could be an unapologetic American muckraker. Too much muck and apparently Maoists
  9. Slogans can’t be empty they’re more like verbal memes, the ideas they point to may be empty or devoid of intellectual merit , but an empty slogan would not be recognizable as slogan , no? Antiestablishment is pretty much the appeal of Trump, the ‘voice of the forgotten ‘ the diminishing middle class. Trumpism is a national populist movement, how is that not antiestablishment? The Establishment threw everything they had at Trump for years and just barely beat him, I’d say the jury’s out but it never really sat. A little birdie is saying the author of the article cited up thread , was Steele’s source for the dossier. Should her assessment that of Trump be taken with any grains of salt for an objective observer?
  10. The two major parties run the elections there is coordination on a national level, one precinct boss can’t affect a national election but a broader body can have effects through precincts. The DNC didn’t want Bernie and they didn’t get him and the RNC didn’t want Trump in 2016 but had to go with him anyway.
  11. et Which chamber is more powerful? Perhaps the fraudsters timeframe is longer than one or even two cycles and given most of the mechanisms alleged to have employed not the first cycle they may have been used. The optics? , how many new members voted to impeach?or those more neoconish? Not to mention is/would this cycle be one to expect to see a split ticket electorate? What if the mechanics of manipulation only conferred advantages or opportunities to affect the top of the tickets? And Joe Biden , Joe Biden? Most presidential votes ever? Man that’s a lot of Bernie bros. Breaking an algorithm and having to shut down to scan enough paper to make up the margins isn’t out of the realm of possibility far enough without a highly transparent showing of inherent validity. The narrative I see feels like wide spread reluctance to entertain challenges, why did they resist the opportunity to rub his face in it? Might even be better than a second lame duck impeachment, maybe they just did the one they could. Hell doing both would have been better. A non bloodthirsty , (American) nationalist who uses jingoistic demagoguery, sounds awfully antiestablishment, I’m in..
  12. This article doesn’t at all touch on the unique and extraordinary character of a one of a kind , first time ever, unlike any other election, election. There are non irrational arguments that point to irregularities and there hasn’t been any well publicized extraordinary efforts to demonstrate serious effort was expended on securing the elections. If fact there are a lot of questions of the actions on officials in charge of a number of polling places , especially concerning chain of custody of the extraordinary number of mail / paper ballots . The narrative the article speaks to is only consistent if the media caricature of Trump is believed. It is just as irrational to believe in lizard shape shifters as to believe Trump is an insane megalomaniac.
  13. Every user of Parler? The report that Curt Shilling had his homeowners insurance coverage cancelled because of social media posts. Another report of a former staffer to Trump that was fired because NHL refused to do business with the company if they employed that specific employee for the reason of his Trump association.
  14. doug morris I did originally qualify my hyperbole “barely hyperbolic “ :) And by public or very public I was insinuating online/social media presence. I doubt my butcher would banish me from his store if a conversation turned to the happenings at the Capitol and we explored the nuisances of the proper description/context. So perhaps my statements overshot a specific mark , but the volley is in the right direction, no?
  15. doug morris It was more an inclination thing, I just blurted out some anti-Trump zeitgeist with some vaguely real world examples. Do you mean to have me clarify my points just for clarification purposes or do you disagree with the gist ?
  16. Sedition is the incitement/organization, insurrection would the acts of violence against 'the govt' and its agents.
  17. Are you sure about that , I mean you did take the time to post that correction.
  18. Sure as long you say burning police cars and attacking federal buildings are acts of insurrection, and it’s really only a misdemeanor now.
  19. No need , gotcha. You keep implying that every allegation was fraudulent in and of itself every one. Every case being not heard was a legitimate consequence and that every judge or body made legally consistent arguments against every case ,every one. As an example this particular suit and any relief that may have been granted to the campaign was relatively inconsequential as far as the national results. Irrespective of Trump as candidate, an objective reading of the decision and the opinions of the dissenters was rather illuminating in electoral law cases , at least for this layman.
  20. Diligence ? Arbitrary? You haven’t read the opinions ?
  21. Laches was used to refuse to hear the allegations. The appeal was quashed, the claims weren't adjudicated on their merits. The case wasn't decided on law , it was regicide.
  22. It isn't suggestive to you that something may be afoot in that Biden made up ground in counting of absentee/mailed ballots in the areas he needed to win the states he needed? And only in those areas, he won what he needed to win and not what he didn't? Every individual and agency empowered to make such determination? Did you read the Wisconsin Supreme Court decision and the dissenting opinions? "During oral arguments in this case, Justice Jill J. Karofsky made the following statement (among others) to the President's attorney: "You want us to overturn this electionso that your king can stay in power, and that is so un-American." When a justice displays such overt political bias, the public's confidence in the integrity and impartiality of the judiciary is destroyed." From a footnote in a dissenting opinion. The dissenters in this case show rather convincingly that "laches" was wholly misused to render a majority decision to not even look at the merits of the challenges. Wisconsin is just one example of the type of legal remedy that was afforded to the Trump campaign. The unprecedented amount of mail in/ absentee balloting that is an obvious invitation to fraud and malfeasance gave ample opportunity to bad actors to manipulate the counts in myriad ways. Proof that that did not occur is sourly lacking and that lacking only furthers conspiratorial passions, those passions I fear where and are being stoked purposely , after all it is what the Color Revolution playbook calls for.
  23. Was every allegation of fraud proven false by forensic examination of the ballots? Were the elections in every state carried out according to their own and federal constitutional requirements? Most cases were dismissed on standing and other jurisprudential findings , not on a full hearing of evidence or discovery. Did TX and seventeen other states irrationally petition SCOTUS ? Sycophants the lot ?
  24. Forbes’s recent statement. Calls from democrat politicians to list Trump ‘sycophants and fabulists ‘and deny them employment or the ability to hold office. Wear a MAGA hat. Smile in a manner that is potentially smirkish. Question the validity of the election results, stuff like that.
  25. I didn't make any comment about government intervention, I simply stated that if you disagree loudly enough with whatever woke narrative is the narrative du jour you will be treated publicly as a pariah.
