Ninth Doctor
A newspaper in Ecuador, recently charged with libel for criticizing the country’s president, ran an empty front page. Empty, except for a quote from Ayn Rand. http://edition.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/americas/07/21/ecuador.libel.lawsuit/ Edited July 23, 2011 by Ninth Doctor

Eiuol
Anyone have a good translation of the whole quote? The link only gives a translation of a very small portion.
Ninth Doctor
Anyone have a good translation of the whole quote? The link only gives a translation of a very small portion. It's from the money speech in Atlas Shrugged: [W]hen you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing – when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors – when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you – when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice – you may know that your society is doomed. Mr. Wynand
It's a fitting quote to have in spanish-written newspaper because Francisco D'Anconia could just have easily said it in spanish.
Steve D'Ippolito
Same quote just showed up here: http://www.boortz.com/weblogs/nealz-nuze/2011/aug/03/quote/. Neal Boortz is a major radio talk show personality in the Southeast. (He has been trying to break out of the preconception that he is intrinsically "southern" and get a larger national audience, for years--to no avail.)
