Come one!  Yes, Galt destroyed the world.  Even without referring to Dagny's labelling of Galt as the destroyer, by persuading, one by one, the Atlas' in industry to go on strike, he in effect was bringing down the collapse of the economy and thus destroy the "civilized" world.

The people who initiated force destroyed the world. Galt convinced the most productive victims to withdraw so that they would not be subjected to force any longer.

One doesn't destroy a building by refusing to repair it. One doesn't destroy an economy if one refuses to participate in it.

Yah, but the destruction still ensues, regardless of who the prime villain is.

This is not a topic I wish to debate about. At this point I don't think we can reconcile our differences. I am quite satisfied in my evaluations of Atlas Shrugged. Be content with yours. Obviously you will read the book again and so will I ... one of these days.
