There's no such thing as bad publicity and Bioshock was a lot of publicity. Also, does anyone think that Fontaine could have been inspired by the Branden affair? Frank Fontaine: Never play a man for the short con when you can play 'em for the long one.

Obama's Birth Certificate
FrolicsomeQuipster replied to Thomas M. Miovas Jr.'s topic in Domestic United States Politics
I couldn't care less if the statue of liberty gave birth to him. Aside from the fact that a bronze statue would have made a better president. -
The old Lorax
FrolicsomeQuipster replied to FrolicsomeQuipster's topic in Movies, Shows, and Theatre
He was written by the guy who wanted to speak for the trees the writer didn't have or know the morality that the character needs. -
The old Lorax

Exactly. I also really wished they'd make songs of praise for real businessmen. "Everybody needs a Thneed" fits Jobs like a glove he made products people didn't even know the'd love. -
I just watched it. Did anyone else like the part where they praised the Once Ler? And even if those trees take thirty years to grow replanting them would still work just as well. Without explaining away the rest of the seeds there would just eventually spout more truffula trees.

It is now illegal to give things away for free in France

If it were up to me I'd have every mention of France on GM replaced with "Meanies". -

Canadian radio show: Just Right.
FrolicsomeQuipster replied to FrolicsomeQuipster's topic in Movies, Shows, and Theatre
Yes. The current leader of that party also has a site with some interesting articles. Here: http://blog.paulmckeever.ca/ -
I usually just browse the front of the site once a day but I've never seen a thread about this. Just Right is a Canadian radio show with an O-ist angle. They talk about a lot of things from Canadian politics to science fiction with sections of the show separated with sound clips from other media. I always look forward to their new episode. The only beef I've had with them is that I don't really know what to think of their position on free will. Here's their old website: http://www.justrightmedia.org/ And here's their new one: http://www.justrightmedia.org/blog/?doing_wp_cron=1324915685 They have a very loaded archive, the first time I found them I listened to a few episodes a day while I was levelgrinding. Are there recorded radio shows that you listen to or podcasts you follow?

Can Objectivists be religious?
FrolicsomeQuipster replied to bluearmy's topic in Questions about Objectivism
I once met someone claiming to be Odin. So if by a God you mean a crazy exhibitionist fat man they certainly exist. -
I was hoping it would be set in the past. But I can still hope that part two at least features a slide by shot of a super advanced pirate ship. Ditto I only start to notice it after I rewatch something a few times, which I only do for animation.

Holding of Gold "Illegal"?
FrolicsomeQuipster replied to SkyTrooper's topic in Work, Careers and Money
But there´s probably something keeping others from issuing their own monies and along with its price in said private monies, also putting a divergent price on whatever product which is its market value in dollars, right? -
Would you kindly never choose an option against your own better judgement.

what is the most beautiful non-physical attribute?

Uncompromising determination. -
Voted yes on being abducted, but they had me sign a nondisclosure agreement on everything I experienced. If I do ever say anything about aliens and am not instantly vaporised you are free to assume that I am lying.

I remember that. I dont remember if that´s a libertarian edit of a statist comic or visa versa. And here´s something completely different, read from right to left.
