  1. My only thought while watching the first video... "OH SNAP SUCKA YOU JUS GOT SCHOOLED"
  2. Which is precisely why Reason is unassailable. Good times!
  3. Sagan was definitely not an Objectivist, but he does have good things to say sometimes, and damn, the man makes me care about astronomy, that's a pretty mean feat in and of itself.
  4. Any action between 2 consenting adults is protected from state interference. Why would it be otherwise? The purpose of the state is to protect individuals from the interference of other individuals, and there is no interference here.
  5. I refer to the mind in the same sense that I refer to an arm or leg. Just a part of the individual, no dichotomy.
  6. Based on what I've read and seen, it seems to me transgendered individuals are no more immoral or illogical than a man born without legs who gets prosthetic limbs. It's simply an accident of birth that a female mind could be born into a male body.
  7. As an oregonian myself, I am disgusted by the results here. This isn't going to make my job hunt any easier....
  8. It was a good game, I think, worth a purchase. The whole "being a russian terrorist" thing was a storytelling device, to get you in the eyes of your enemies, to see how truly evil and heartless they are, to make you hate them that much more as you battle against them later in the game. It is effective, let me tell you.
  9. No more a problem than people being murdered for their other material possessions, and preselling is just an extension of existing "living will" laws, I'd imagine.
  10. It should be like the trade of any other private commodity. Nothing about it being part of our bodies makes it different.
  11. I believe that it was unwise to include "by their Creator". I have seen that phrase used more than once as an excuse for religious tyranny by Christians. "By objective reality" would be a more accurate and responsible phrase.
  12. It is inaccurate to say that "rights protection" is a right. No right can impose a positive obligation on another human being. "Rights protection" is simply a very important privilege one must pay for in order to attain.
