phibetakappa
Using Galt as the standard, what is an example of something he did, which no other, normal average man on earth could not do?
KendallJ
The title and the question are incongruous. He invented a unique type of motor. Generally most normal average men do not innovate such things. However, that has nothing to do with moral perfection nor moral perfectability. DavidOdden
normal average manI'm not sure that that is a meaningful juxtaposition. There are clearly abnormal humans, i.e. the mental retarded. Average implies some kind of scale, finding a mean, and including values within some tight deviation from that mean value. So I don't know who are "average" people. What are the above- or below-average people who are nevertheless normal? What is an example of an above-average abnormal person. My implication is that if you are considered somewhat below average, you won't be considered abnormal; but if you are equally above average, then you are likely to be considered abnormal. Meaning, excellence is likely to be stigmatized as abnormal whereas the same degree of lesser aptitude is still seen as "normal".

Jill
The shield that hid the valley. The lock that when violated disintegrates everything inside without a noise. That's technology nobody invented yet, to the best of my knowledge.
